Dear guilt-ridden woman!
It’s not your fault that as a child, you experienced things no child should ever experience. It is not your fault. As a child, there was nothing you could do to defend yourself.
It is not your fault that you can’t meet your parents’ expectations. Because these are their ideas about life, not yours. Live the way you feel you should, and only then will you truly be happy.
It’s not your fault that he is unable to handle his issues and channels his frustrations onto you, shifting the entire responsibility for his life onto your shoulders. Do not be the ‘receiver’ of that, for it is not yours. Nor should you try to change it – you do not possess such agency.
It isn’t your fault that he left. True love is about overcoming all life’s difficulties together, being aware of each other’s deficits, and mutual support in the process of growth and change. Apparently, he was not the one.
It’s not your fault that you can’t fit into other people’s moulds. You have the right to live your own life and make choices that align with what you feel most appropriate.
It’s not your fault that he doesn’t call. You didn’t do anything wrong. Perhaps it’s not this vibe and not this man. Apparently, the one who’s going to be your entire world is waiting elsewhere.
It’s not your fault that you made such and such decisions at one point in life. You acted according to your best knowledge and understanding at the given moment. We always act this way.
You are not to blame. It’s not your fault that your children don’t have a proper dad. It is because of his ineptitude to be a father.
It’ s is not your fault that your adult children made the choices they did. We are responsible for our children up to a certain moment, and have no agency to control their adult lives.
It’s not your fault that he/she is unhappy. Each individual is responsible for their own happiness. And no one else is.
It isn’t your fault. Yes, you did make a lot of mistakes, but you had the right to and they were the greatest learning moments.
It is not your fault. It’s time to believe that.
